Paul M. Philibert, 84, of Wentworth, died April 20, 2017 at Pleasant View Center in Concord after a period of declining health due to Alzheimer's Disease.
He was born in Bedford on March 25, 1933 to Arthur and Angeline (Haley) Philibert. He lived in Manchester for many years before retiring and moving to Wentworth 21 years ago.
During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army.
Paul worked as an auto mechanic at Sears & Roebuck in Manchester for 39 years. He enjoyed working around his home, woodworking and fishing. He and his wife enjoyed the outdoors, camping and hiking many of New Hampshire's mountains.
The family includes his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Beverly J. (Duston) Philibert; five children, Wayne Philibert, Donna Michaud, Kevin Philibert, Paul Philibert Jr. and Jeffrey Philibert; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by six siblings, Ernest Philibert, Gabrielle Duhaime, Jeannette Vigneault, Antoinette Powers, Rita Desmarais and Beatrice Provencher.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, 145 Lowell St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
