Born in Manchester on November 5, 1925 he was the son of Paul and Eva (Larochelle) Potvin.
Mr. Potvin served in the Submarine Service of the US Navy during WWII.
He worked as a carpenter for New Hampshire College and also as a mechanic for St. Anselm College. More recently he was employed by Irving Oil as a consultant.
Mr. Potvin was a longtime member and scout leader with the Boy Scouts of America.
Family members include: his wife of over 57 years Francoise L. Potvin of Manchester; 3 sons, Andre P. Potvin of Manchester, Richard D. Potvin of Auburn, NH and Marc E. Potvin of Greensboro, NC; 2 daughters Monique M. Fonner of Weare, NH and Suzanne L. Roy of Manchester; 4 sisters Laurette Dow of Concord, NH, Claire Moreau of Manchester, Rachel Volkmann of Goffstown, NH and Muriel Tela of Hollywood, FL; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday April 12, 2005 in Sacred Heart Church, 223 South Main St., Manchester. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
