Paul R. MacDonald

Paul R. MacDonald, 90, of Bedford died Friday May 19th, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Born September 27, 1932 in Boston, MA, he was the son of Joseph & Constance (Fuchs) MacDonald.  He was raised in Somerville, MA.  He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in Boston and attended Boston College.  In 1965 Paul and his wife Jean (Cusolito) MacDonald settled in Bedford, NH with their family.

Paul was a self-employed heating contractor.  He owned Armstrong Heating for many years.  His work was his passion.  After retiring, he continued to work as a consultant for insurance companies, doing forensic evaluations of heating systems.  He enjoyed spending winters at his home in Florida.

Paul is survived by his children Paula Nelson & her partner Terry Allen Milam of Franklin, TN, Rick MacDonald & his wife Donna of Lyndeborough, NH, and Scott MacDonald & his wife Valerie of Raymond, NH; grandchildren Joe MacDonald & his wife Vivian, Jennifer Nortey & her husband Michael, Alicia MacDonald, William MacDonald & his partner Brenda Lappiere, Jordan Nelson & his wife Aldona Krawczyk, Kristen Peterson & her husband Josiah, and Kendra Cox; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings Albert MacDonald, Virginia Eldracher, Martha Smith & her husband Paul, Connie Benotti & her husband Steve, and Patricia Wilkens & her husband John; his sister-in-law Barbara MacDonald; as well as many nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife Jean MacDonald, brother Joseph MacDonald & his wife Mary Jane, brother David MacDonald, his brother-in-law Ted Eldracher and sister-in-law Carol MacDonald.

SERVICES:  A visitation will be held Saturday June 3 from 10 to 11 am at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, followed by a funeral service at 11 am in the funeral home.  Committal prayers will follow at Bedford Center Cemetery, 14 Church Rd., Bedford.
