Paul M. Soucy

July 10, 1945 — August 29, 2024

Manchester

Paul M. Soucy passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 29, 2024. Born in Manchester on July 10, 1945, to Ovila and Lea Soucy, Paul graduated from St. Anthony High School and New Hampshire Vocational Institute. He was employed at Public Service Company of New Hampshire before establishing his own electrical contracting company, Soucy Electric, Inc., in 1976. What initially began as a small residential business expanded into a thriving company that served the needs of commercial, industrial, and government organizations across New England.

As a faithful member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church community in Auburn, Paul served on the Parish Finance Committee, volunteered as a Eucharistic minister, and participated in Cana couples ministry. His deep-rooted faith sustained him through a long period of health struggles. Despite all obstacles, Paul was steadfast in his firm conviction that God would not give him more than he could handle, and he endured all difficulties with quiet strength and optimism.

Paul was an avid tennis player in his youth, participating in tournaments across the state. Later in life, Paul loved spending time outdoors, fishing, shooting archery, and being an active member of Kinnicum Fish and Game Club. Some of his greatest pleasures in life were boating with his family on Lake Winnipesaukee, attending concerts at the Shell Stage on Hampton Beach, and cheering on his grandchildren at their various sporting events. Other special moments included trips to Disney with his family, which were among his most treasured memories. Paul’s competitive spirit was most evident when he was playing cribbage with family and friends, and everyone who ever competed against him knew that he played to win.

Above all else, Paul cherished spending time with his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda (Sinotte); his children, Scott Soucy and his wife Jessica, David Soucy and his wife Kelly, and Kristen Marcoux and her husband Matt; his grandchildren, David Jr., James, Teddy, Elizabeth, Audrey, and Tyler Soucy; his siblings, Richard Soucy and his wife Claire, Ronald Soucy, and Janet Case and her husband Robert; his mother-in-law, Janice Sinotte; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his beloved infant granddaughters, Lea and Grace Soucy, and his dear sister-in-law, Edith Soucy.

The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Jamie, Christina and most recently Sarah at Elliot Wellness Center and Rehabilitation for the excellent and dedicated care that Paul received over many years of treatment.
