Paul T. Desrochers, 85, of Manchester, died July 25, 2022, at his home after a brief period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester on January 10, 1937, to Romeo and Marguerite (Berthiaume) Desrochers. He graduated from Ste. Marie High School in 1956 and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Paul served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years. He worked for many years as general manager at the former Grand Union/ Champagne’s Supermarket and retired from YWCA in Manchester. He had served as a school board member at Ste. Marie High School and was a lector at Ste. Marie Church and Parish of the Transfiguration.
His favorite hobbies were walks with his grandchildren, making puzzles, gardening and New England sports teams.
He was predeceased by his parents and six siblings, Maurice Desrochers, Lorraine Courchesne, Estelle Langevin, Georgette Dery, Anita Guillemette and Normand Desrochers.
Paul is survived by his wife of 64 years, Raymonde C. (Richer) Desrochers; five children, Linda Desrochers Turnbull, Donna Desrochers Camire and her husband, Robert, Kathleen Desrochers Standish, Kenneth Desrochers and his wife, Charlene, and Daniel Desrochers; seven grandchildren, Alyssa Huber and her husband, Shaun, Kelsey Kashtan and her husband, Michael, Kyle Desrochers, Emilie Camire, Julia Camire, Abigail Desrochers and Rachel Desrochers; two great grandchildren, Jaxon W. Huber and Mya Beth Kashtan; a sister, Jacqueline Roux and her husband, Robert; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Desrochers; a brother-in-law, Marcel Guillemette and many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Private burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester will be at the convenience of the family. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with services.
