Paula J. Gagnon, 83, of Manchester, passed quietly on September 26, 2025 at Hillsborough County Rehab and Nursing Home in Goffstown after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on June 9, 1942 to Paul and Jean (Wright) Gagnon. She lived at the Varney Street Apartments in Manchester for many years.
At the age of 54, she earned an associate’s degree in Applied Science in Human Services and went on to work as a Certified Nurse Aide for the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Manchester for many years.
Paula loved nature and history. She took many walks and excursions at the beach, either with her mother or her daughter, Holly. Later in life she loved hiking and camping and even figured out a way to tent camp with her Mom who was in a wheelchair. She also took many trips with her children to see historic and natural sites.
Fall was her favorite time of year to drive around the state to see the foliage and to go to Mac’s Apples with her daughter, Holly. She was a social butterfly and always befriended someone so they wouldn’t be alone. She also loved to dance, even when she was using a walker.
Paula had a great sense of humor and everyday was an adventure.
She is survived by two children, Howard Gagnon and his wife, Robin and Holly Gagnon; three grandchildren, Sarah Corpe and her husband, Joe, Joshua Gagnon and his wife, Sophia and Jacob Gagnon; three great grandchildren and one on the way.
