Paula A. Lemire

December 15, 1964 — February 12, 2026

Paula Ann (Dumont) Lemire, 61 of Candia, NH, passed away peacefully at her home on February 2, 2026 surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Paula was born on December 15th, 1964 in Manchester, NH to parents Allen and Lillian (Langley) Dumont. She was the middle child of 4 children. Paula spent her childhood in New Hampshire until moving to Southern California as a teenager where she attended San Grogonio High School. California was something Paula always held dear to her heart. Returning to NH as a young adult made her realize what home and family were all about. After she moved back she met the love of her life, Ron.

Paula cherished all of her family, most of all the family that Ron and Paula created with their two sons which are the lights of their lives. Paula and Ron recently celebrated 40 years of marriage on October 19, 2025. They always enjoyed traveling. Paula and Ron visited many wonderful places including London, Paris, Jamaica, Hawaii and Alaska. They were also a big snowmobile family who took many trips around the New England area. In the summer they took trips to Lake George, NY.

Paula went on to become an LNA and worked at Exeter Healthcare. There she cared for a patient named Joe who had a horrific accident that left him paralyzed. Paula had a very special bond with him. Once he was strong enough to go home his family asked her to take care of him in his home which ended up being a time span of 24 years. She loved working with Joe and all of the staff that they employed until his death in January 2023. After working with Joe, Paula worked for Concord Hospital until her cancer diagnosis in November 2024. Paula was very grateful for all of the support she received from her coworkers at Concord Hospital and her many friends and family throughout her cancer journey.

The bond that Paula had with her youngest son Zachary and her two beautiful granddaughters was cherished beyond measure. On Paula’s days off from work she would babysit Exelia, the oldest granddaughter, a few days a week since she was born. They would bond doing crafts, baking and playing outside. She truly loved being a memere and being able to do “girly” things. Paula fought this battle with cancer so that she could have as much time as possible with those grandbabies that she loved so much and bragged about to anyone that would listen.

During the Covid pandemic in 2020 Paula took up crafting & enjoyed crocheting beautiful blankets for just about everyone she loved! Everyone cherishes those blankets, as they know a lot of Paula’s heart went into them. She would sell all her creative crafts at craft fairs around the area. Paula also enjoyed spending time with her Mother Lillian and Sister Theresa taking their yearly trips up to North Conway, NH after Thanksgiving. They would always go Christmas shopping, but mostly came home with treasures for themselves.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Lemire of Candia, NH, son Zachary Lemire and his wife Nicole of Deerfield, NH, mother Lillian Langley of Candia, NH, sister Theresa Robinson and her husband Jim of Candia, NH, brother Gary Dumont and his wife Carrie of Rindge, NH, brother in law George Lemire and his wife Marie of Scarborough, ME. She was a proud Memere of two grandchildren: Exelia and Vaeda Lemire of Deerfield, NH along with several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

She is predeceased by her son Benjamin James Lemire, sister Brenda Jean Dumont, father Allen Arthur Dumont, Her In Laws, George and Madeleine Lemire as well as both maternal and fraternal grandparents.

A special thank you to Paula’s team of specialists at Dana Farber & Brigham and Women's Hospital. Her primary oncologist was Dr. Jennifer Marks at Dana Farber whom Paula had a loving, caring relationship with that she truly treasured. Also thank you to the caring and compassionate staff of the Elliot Hospital VNA/Hospice, without them the end of life would have been so much more difficult for Paula and her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Paula at a later date. Information about this will be communicated on Paula’s Facebook page and the Cancer Journey Facebook page.
