Pauline Eva (Descoteaux) Bullard, 88, of Manchester died February 23, 2018 at her daughter's residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born at home in Manchester on April 23, 1929, she was the daughter of Antonio J. and Eva (Chicoine) Descoteaux. She attended St. George and St. Augustin grammar schools in Manchester. She then attended Our Lady of Angels Academy outside Montreal. Not only did she form lifelong friendships there, she was also the valedictorian of the class of 1947.
Upon returning home from boarding school she was invaluable in assisting her parents raise her five siblings. In her early years she was one of the founders of the Senior Girls Scout Troop in Manchester. Later, she was the first Parliamentarian for the Council of Catholic Women for the Diocese of Manchester.
Pauline was a self-taught bookkeeper/accountant ending her career as an assistant treasurer of E&R Laundry and, in later years, personal secretary for her former boss Robert Morin.
She is survived by her son Robert Bullard and daughter Judith Bullard of Manchester; her grandson, Nicholas Bullard of Manchester; her siblings, George Descoteaux of Revere, MA, Rita Descoteaux of Glen, as well as family pets Kaiser and Lily.
She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Arthur and Robert, granddaughter Jocelyn and recently sister Doris.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
