Pauline M. (Berube) Desmarais, 77, of Manchester died May 11, 2005 at the Elliot Hospital.
She was born in Manchester on May 12, 1927, the daughter of Everett and Philomen (Binette) Berube. She was educated in the local school system.
Prior to raising her family, she had been employed by BNC Shoe Shop.
She enjoyed playing cards and bowling. More than anything, she loved to spend time helping her family and friends.
Mrs. Desmarais was an active parishioner of St. Anthony Parish and was a member of the St. Ann Sodality.
She was predeceased by her husband George Desmarais in 2003 and one son Albert Desmarais in 1991.
Members of her family include four sons, Robert Desmarais of Nevada, Gerard Desmarais of Germany, George Desmarais of Manchester, and Donald Desmarais of Manchester; five daughters, Yvette Wilson of Kentucky, Rita Allard of Manchester, Pauline Jacob of Manchester, Irene Hallee of Manchester, and Claire Bunnell of Florida; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, her twin Gerard Berube of Manchester, Leo Berube of Arizona, and Roger Berube of California; three sisters, Aldea Biron of Manchester, Doris Forcier of Manchester, and Laurette Morrissette of Arizona; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church on Monday May 16, 2005. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Anthony Church Building Fund, 172 Belmont St, Manchester, NH 03103.
