Pauline L. Lessard

   Pauline (Renaud) (Lemire) Lessard, 91, of Hooksett, died November 14, 2022 at her home after a brief illness.

   She was born in Woonsocket, RI on February 15, 1931 to Wilfrid and Eva (Duval) Renaud.  She lived in Manchester and Allenstown for most of her life before recently moving to Hooksett.

   Pauline graduated from Notre Dame Hospital School of Nursing and spent most of her nursing career assisting in the operating room at Notre Dame Hospital in Manchester.  She later owned Pauline Lemire Real Estate for 15 years.

   Pauline had served on the Manchester Board of Health.  She was also a hospice volunteer for 30 years with the Visiting Nurse Association and at Catholic Medical Center visiting terminally ill patients.  She enjoyed baseball, hockey, trivia, dancing, learning about state capitals, trees, flowers, birds and the Civil War.  Most importantly, she cherished time spent with her family and friends.

   She was predeceased by her first husband of 29 years, Adrien “Al” Lemire; her second husband of 32 years, Fernand Lessard; her brother, Normand Renaud; her son, Michael Lemire and her son-in-law, John “Wayne” Phelps.

   She is survived by her children, Suzanne Lemire, Simonne Phelps, Paul Lemire and his wife, Kelly, Louise Goldberg and her husband, Scott, and Fern Lessard Jr. and his wife, Renee; grandchildren, Sarah Brown, Kristen Phelps, Matthew Lemire, Daniel Lessard, Chris Lessard, Patrick Lessard, Robie Samson, Jeffrey Samson and Danielle Portella; great grandchildren, Vinnie Priore, Grayson Lessard, Harlow Lessard, Izabella Lessard, Hailey Lessard, Charlotte Lessard, Parker Samson, Zoey Samson and Luke Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

   SERVICES:  Calling hours are Monday (11/21) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday (11/22) at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 10 School St., Allenstown.  Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.

   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a food bank of one’s choice.
