Pauline L. Sweeney

Pauline L. Sweeney, 87, of Auburn died Monday December 19, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Born in Manchester on May 3, 1935, she was the daughter of Charles A. & Bernadette (Pariseau) Soucy.  She grew up in Manchester and was a graduate of St. Marie’s High School.  In 1958 she married her husband Hubert J. Sweeney and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage until his death in 2014.

Pauline will be remembered as being fun-loving.  She loved people and they loved her.  She enjoyed playing cards and spending summers with her siblings at Silver Lake Park.  She was an excellent homemaker and was proud to be the matriarch of the family.  Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Anne-Marie Kenyon & her husband John of Auburn, Richard Sweeney & his wife Diane of Weare, Vivian Beadle of Manchester, and Patricia Carignan & her husband Robert of Bow; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her siblings Jean C. Soucy of Pinardville, Marcel Soucy of Manchester, and Bernard Soucy of Manchester; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Hubert, her parents Charles & Bernadette, sister Claire Roux, sister-in-laws Jean, Rose, and Diane Soucy, brother-in-law Marcel Roux, and her grandson Joseph R. Beadle.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday December 22 from 4 to 7 pm at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday December 23 at 10 am at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame, Manchester.  Burial will be at a later date at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
