Penelope Garrett

She was born in Manchester on February 22, 1918 to Achilles and Vasilike (Bouras) Papavasiliou. She lived in Manchester and St. Petersburg, FL.

Penny worked as a beautician for many years. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Daughters of Penelope. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and, in her youth was an avid accordion player.

She was predeceased by a sister, Stella Papavasiliou in 2010.

The family includes a nephew, William Metropolis and his wife, Carole, of Merrimack, and a cousin, Louisa Benelas of Manchester.

A funeral ceremony was held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Rev Michael Wilson officiated. Committal prayers followed at Pine Grove Cemetery, Calef Road, Manchester.
