Peter R. Martineau

October 31, 1934 — January 16, 2023

Manchester, NH

Peter Raymond Martineau of Manchester, NH passed away at home on January 16, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Peter was born in and lived all his life in Manchester, NH.  He was the son of Arthur Martineau and Albertine Malo.  He was a proud Veteran who served his country in the US Navy.  Peter was a devout Catholic and was passionate about his love for the Lord.  Before his illness he loved attending Blessed Sacrament Church and devoted many hours to attending adoration at St. Marie’s Church.

He was proud of his many years of work as a weaver and retired from Velcro USA in 1999.  He made many friends throughout his life, especially through work and church.

After his retirement he stayed active with the things he enjoyed.  You would always find him outside in his yard, planting a garden, puttering around or in his shed painting and doing woodwork.  He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Peter is predeceased by his beloved sisters, Madeline, Jeannine, Janet, Noella, Francis, and is survived by his sister Alice.

Peter loved his family deeply and leaves behind his loving wife Claire (Lauzon) of 66 years, his daughter Linda Martineau and her son Zachary Dudek, his son Dan Martineau and his children Colby and Careena.

All that knew Peter have been extremely blessed to have him in their lives.  He was loving, kindhearted, funny, giving, and a proud man.

He will be missed so deeply by his family.  We were so blessed to have him for as long as we did.  Thanking my Mama for her strength and never leaving his side through this long journey and my son Zack for being here with us every single day.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Team for the kindness and compassion you so dearly gave to my Dad.  Special thank you to Kim Cripe and Windy Scott from our family.  My Dad loved you both.

Heaven is your new home Daddy.

There will be no services.  Lambert Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.  To leave an online message of condolence, visit www.lambertfuneralhome.com
