Rachel Benoit

Rachel Benoit, 86, of Manchester, died October 9, 2010, at her home following a long illness. She was born in Manchester March 9, 1924 to Alfred and Florence (Lemay) Laurendeau.

She was a member of the Lady's Guild of the former St. Patrick's parish, as well as a volunteer for over 13 years at CMC. As a member of St. Pius X parish for the last five years, she had served as a Eucharistic Minister.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, who always maintain a strong faith.

Family members include her children, Denise Blackburn, of FL, Camille Baker, of Manchester, Michelle Lynn Reynolds, of Manchester, Donald Benoit, of Manchester, Wilfred Benoit, of FL, Michael Benoit, of NY; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Adrienne Soucy, Jeannine Maurier, both of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; she was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Wilfred Benoit, in 2008.

A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Pius X parish, Candia Rd. Manchester, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010.

A committal service followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
