Rachel C. Blais

Rachel Cecile Blais, 87, of Bedford, NH died November 21, 2006 at the Elliot Hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Bedford, NH on April 1, 1919, the daughter of Emile and Aurore (Moreau) Vincent.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her family.

She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the parish's Sodality of St. Anne. Rachel was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary.

Her husband Camille H. Blais predeceased her in 1995.

Members of her family include one son, Denis G. Blais of Manchester; three daughters, Jacqueline Locke of Columbia, NH, Edith Meyer of Bedford, NH, and Jeanne Doucet of Bedford; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 223 South Main St., Manchester, on Saturday November 25, 2006. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
