            Rachel Therese (Tessier) Cassidy, 104, of Manchester died February 15, 2023 after a short period of declining health.

            Born in Manchester on November 4, 1918, she was the daughter of Alonzo and Bernadette (Durand) Tessier.  She was educated in the local school system.

            Prior to retirement, she had been a cafeteria worker for the City of Manchester for many years.

            Rachel loved bowling, shuffle board, playing cards and darts and was an active member of the Cashin Senior Center where she enjoyed spending time with her many friends.

            She was also a member of the Sodality of St. Anne of St. Augustin Parish.

            Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Maple Leaf Health Care Center for the tremendous care they provided Rachel during her stay there.

            She was predeceased by her husband, J. Edward Cassidy; daughter, Constance T. Zierhoffer of St. Petersburg, FL; her son, Dennis E. Cassidy of Winter Park, FL and her brothers, Bernard, John, Robert, Rene, and Hector.     

            Family members include her son, Kenneth R. Cassidy and wife Pierrettte of Goffstown; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces.

            A private funeral service and burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery will be done at the family’s convenience.

            Donations may be made in Rachel’s memory to Precious Blood Monastery.
