Rachel L. Fitzgerald

Rachel L. "Blondie" Fitzgerald, 62, of Manchester, died October 28, 2002, at her home, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Manchester, June 13, 1940, she was the daughter of Archie and Alpheda (Marcotte) Perron. She was a lifelong resident of this city.

She had worked for Royal Insurance for several years.

Blondie was one of the founders and charter member of the West Side Soccer League. She also volunteered for numerous youth activities and organizations. In addition she was a past president of the Women's Auxiliary of West Little League for 13 years.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church.

Blondie was a devoted wife and mother, and a true friend to many.

She leaves her husband of 36 years, Daniel J. Fitzgerald of Manchester; three sons, Richard J. Fitzgerald of Las Vegas, NV, Kevin P. Fitzgerald and Sean M. Fitzgerald, both of Manchester; a sister, Rita Prescott of So. Burlington, VT; a brother, Robert Perron of Waterbury, CT; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday November 1, 2002 in St. Patrick Church, 138 Coolidge Ave. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.

Memorial donations may be made to the V.N.A. Hospice, 1850 Elm St., Manchester, 03104.
