Rachel L. Goodale, 84, of Bedford, formerly of Manchester died March 27, 2018 at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Biddeford, ME on June 28, 1933, she was the daughter of Joseph and Anise (Michaud) Parent. She was educated in the Manchester school system.
Prior to retirement, she had worked as a waitress for several local restaurants. She had also worked as an LNA at both Villa Crest and Myrtle Nursing Homes.
Rachel enjoyed making arts and crafts and was a long time den mother for the Rebecca Lodge 15 Rainbows. She also had worked and volunteered for a local foster grandchild program.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who cherished time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Stephen G. Goodale as well as two of her sons, Stephen and Michael.
Family members include her son, Mark Goodale and his wife Stacy of Manchester; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Kelley and Carmen Gobiel, both of ME; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
A service was held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester. Burial services will be private and at a later date.
