Rachel L. Pelletier

Rachel L. Pelletier, 91, of Bedford, NH passed away on Sunday November 6th, 2016 at the Catholic Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Nashua on March 21st, 1925, she was the daughter of Alfred and Lauriane (Fecteau) Belanger. She was educated in the Nashua public school system.
She had worked in various retail stores in the Manchester area, including many years at McQuade's and Jordan Marsh. She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Parish (later Parish of the Transfiguration).
Rachel and her husband Leo were part of a small group of caring individuals who were founding members of the William J. Moore Center in Manchester. Rachel enjoyed knitting, playing cards and supporting her beloved Red Sox and Celtics. She was an avid fan of all sports and spent many hours crocheting clothing for veterans and the homeless. She also enjoyed dancing and spending summers at the camp with her husband, family and friends. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and dear friend who cherished time spent with family.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Leo Pelletier of Bedford; her children, Maurice Pelletier and wife Suzanne of Leavenworth, KS, Janet Pelletier of Goffstown, Robert Pelletier and wife Carla of Nashua, Diane Paris and husband Robert of Goffstown, Richard Pelletier of Bedford, Daniel Pelletier and wife Kelly of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Kathryn and husband Eric, Nicole and husband Ryan, John and wife Theresa, Kevin, Bethany and husband Michael, Laura and husband Justin, Steven, Maurice and wife Katerina, Bryan, Abigail, Wesley, and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Alexa, Natalie, and Zachary; her sister, Irene Tremblay and husband Maurice; nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday November 12, 2016 at the Parish of the Transfiguration, Alsace St, Manchester. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
