Rachel Lillian Petchell, 105, of Manchester, died May 18, 2021 after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester on August 26, 1915, she was the daughter of Philip and Virginia (Raza) Hebert.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a hairdresser for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bronnie Petchell, daughter June McManus, and grandson Robert Young.
Family members include her grandchildren, Daniel Young, William "Bud" Turcotte, Melynda Follensbee and Stephanie Morrison; many great-grandchildren; her sister, Lorraine Fitzgerald; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Friday from 5 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am in St. Pius X Church. Burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Villa Crest Nursing Home Activities Fund, 1276 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104.
