Born in Manchester on January 26, 1937, she was the daughter of Francis and Josephine (Bournival) Beauparlant. She was educated in the local school system and graduated from Central High School.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed by L3 Warrior and Insight Technologies as a general assembler for many years. Previously, she had also worked for Mod-Tap for several years.
Rachel enjoyed fishing and spending time at the beach. Above all else, she cherished being a grandmother and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband John M. Piet in 1966 and by her siblings, Alice Hebert, Irene Peavey, Rita Bergeron, Bob, Ralph, and David Beauparlant.
Family members include her children, Keith J. Piet and wife Melissa of Goffstown, Mark F. Piet and wife Stephanie of Manchester, Lisa Thomas and companion Art of Manchester; her grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Chelsea and fiance Kristian Garces, Abigail, Sarah, Cory, and Caleb; many nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Anthony of Padua Church, Belmont St. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
