Dr. Ralph R. Asadourian, DDS, 92, of Bedford, died peacefully on April 13, 2024, at Courville of Manchester, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manchester on April 1, 1932, he was the son of the late Albert (Hatchig) and Dora (Dickranuhue) Asadourian.  Ralph was a graduate of Central High School, 1950. As a teenager he studied classical violin with Rudolph Schiller. He earned his bachelor’s degree from University of New Hampshire in 1954 and joined the army reserve with a rank of 2nd lieutenant and continued his education at University of Maryland Dental School graduating in 1958.  He transferred from the army reserve to the dental corps serving at Fort Dix and Camp Kilmer. After being honorably discharged in 1960, he opened his dental practice in Manchester and kept his reserve status for some years

Ralph was a lifelong parishioner of First Congregational Church in Manchester.  He spent many childhood years attending church functions and dances.  As a teenager, he studied violin, played in concerts and also played multiple instruments, some of which were self taught, in the Central High School marching band.   He owned his own dental practice in Manchester for 48 years, working alongside his son Mark for 18 years, before retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Manchester Dental, the new Hampshire Dental Society and American Dental Association for his entire career.

Ralph had a passion for sailing, sailboat racing and was a member of the Massabesic Yacht Club for over 40 years and was Commodore in 1988.   He was also a member of the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire Free Masons and was a contributor to Doctors without Borders and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation among others.

Ralph enjoyed reading and was an avid bicyclist.  He loved the beach and lake, swimming with his family, especially his grandchildren Nicholas and Julia.  He tolerated cross country skiing when his son insisted that he go.  He was also a dog lover, having owned a couple over the years.  Ralph was a very kind, caring and welcoming man who loved his family endlessly.  Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Alice T. (Turpanjian) Asadourian of Bedford; one son, Mark Asadourian and his wife Donna of Bedford; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Julia Asadourian of Bedford.  He was predeceased by his sister, Ann Williamson.
