Raoul Montplaisir

Raoul "Ralph" Montplaisir, 82, of Manchester, died January 26, 2010. He was born in Manchester, January 26, 1928, and was the son of Henry and Eva (Provencher) Montplaisir.

He received his early education from St. Anthony Grammar School, and Manchester High School Central.

For 35 years, Ralph worked for the former J.F.McElwain, later, he worked for Kalwall Corporation. In his retirement years, he worked for Hannaford Supermarkets.

He enjoyed bowling, cribbage, and time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his good nature, and sense of humor.

IN HIS LIFE: Family members include his wife of nearly 63 years, Florence (Huot) Montplaisir, of Manchester; 3 children, Susan and her husband Richard Boulanger, Helen and her husband David Somers, Robert Montplaisir, and his wife Diane, all of Manchester; 8 grandchildren, Michael, Shawn, T.J., Lisa, Kelly, Kerrie, Jason, Eric; 6 great grandchildren, Kelsey, Ashton, Kyle, Ryan, Derek, Grace; 2 brothers, Ronald and Gerry Montplaisir, both of Manchester; a sister, Doris Barrett, of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, January 30, 2010 at St. Anthony Church, Belmont St. Manchester.

Encryptment was at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Goffstown Road, Manchester.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association 249 Canal St. Manchester, NH 03101.
