Raymond J. Cassidy

Raymond J. Cassidy, 76, of Hooksett died December 31, 2003 in his residence of complications from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Born in Manchester on September 11, 1927, he was the son of Patrick and Yvonne (Kerouac) Cassidy. He lived in Manchester for many years before moving to Hooksett in 1982.

During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army. He later worked for the Manchester Highway Department and GTE Sylvania for many years.

Mr. Cassidy was a member of the American Legion post 79 in Manchester.

The family includes a daughter, Lynne M. Ellis of Hopedale, MA; a son, Patrick R. Cassidy of Skiatook, OK; four grandchildren; two brothers, Normand A. Cassidy of Epsom and Robert R. Cassidy of Pembroke; two sisters, Lorraine Boisvert and Anita Deshaies both of Manchester; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday January 3, 2004 in St. Therese Church, corner of Calef Rd. and Mitchell St., Manchester. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
