Raymond L. Glidden, 55, of Deering, died October 19, 2002, at Concord Hospital, after a sudden illness.

He was born in Manchester, December 22, 1946, and was the son of Harold E. and Priscilla (Cartier) Glidden. He was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School. He lived most of his life in Manchester and had been a resident of Deering since 1985.

He was an army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Glidden worked as a painting contractor having owned and operated Decor Painting for many years.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Elaine (Perry) Glidden in 1994.

Family members include his wife, Sandra (Anna) Glidden of Deering; a daughter, Lisa A. Vaillancourt of Manchester; a granddaughter, Tiffany Vaillancourt of Manchester; his mother of Manchester; a sister, Elaine R. Hunt of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

The funeral was Wednesday October 23, 2002 in the funeral home. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
