Raymond A. Lavallee

October 15, 1954 — August 30, 2010

Raymond A. Lavallee, 55, of Manchester, died of cancer August 30, 2010 at Concord Hospice House.

He was born in Manchester, October 15, 1954 to Armand and Jeannette (Corriveau) Lavallee. He grew up in Manchester and graduated from West High School in 1973. He then joined the US Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division.

He was a member of Sweeney Post and Jutras Post.

Ray lived in Canada for more than 23 years before returning to Manchester. While there he worked on the family farm in Alberta as well as on oil fields and natural gas lines, all of which were a big part of his life.

He was a people person who loved being with family and friends. He had an infectious nature of making people feel comfortable and maintained his sense of humor right up to the end. He will be dearly missed.

He leaves his three children, Travis Lavallee of Wetaskiwin, Alberta Canada and Nathan Lavallee of Manchester and Karen Hudson of Alberta, Canada; two grandchildren; his parents of Manchester; a sister, Diane Ferland and her husband, Raymond, of Manchester; four brothers, Normand Lavallee and his wife, Patricia Bouchard, of Manchester, Michael Lavallee and his wife, Dawn Gunther, of Lafond, Alberta, Canada, Marc Lavallee of Manchester and David Lavallee of St. Paul, Alberta, Canada; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, September 4, 2010 at St. Anthony Church.

Burial, with military honors, took place on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
