Raymond A. Lescatre, 82, of Merrimack, died May 28, 2019 at his home after a period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester on March 17, 1937 to Ferdinand and Cecile (Drolet) Lescatre. He grew up in Manchester and lived in Merrimack for many years.
During the 1950's he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Raymond worked at Anheuser-Busch in Merrimack for many years. He enjoyed bowling, working around his home, traveling by motor home and camping with family and friends. Along with his wife, Geraldine, he especially enjoyed hosting family during the Christmas season.
He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Geraldine M. (Gagnon) Lescatre in 2015; two grandchildren, John Mason in 2014 and Amanda Lescatre in 2018; and two sisters, Estelle Bouillard and Theresa Lescatre.
The family includes five children, Deborah Mason and her husband, Tim, of Ossipee, Judith Gamache and her husband, Michael, of Goffstown, Michael Lescatre and his significant other, Phyllis Winn, of Manchester, Madeline Jarry of Nashua and Keith Lescatre and his wife, Lisa, of Merrimack; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and three nieces.
A funeral ceremony was held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
