He was born on May 21, 1926 the son of Henry and Flora(Hebert) Maurier and had resided in Manchester all of his life. He attended St. Augustin School in Manchester.
During WWII, he served in the US Navy. He later served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Prior to retirement, he worked many years as a sheet metal worker for Local Union 17.
Raymond was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed camping and fishing.

Members of his family include his beloved wife of 54 years, Janet (Laurendeau) Maurier of Manchester; two sons, David Maurier of Manchester, Raymond Maurier and his wife Pam of Manchester; two step-sons, Robert and his wife Jane Laurendeau of Hooksett and Gerard and his wife Beverly Laurendeau of Deerfield; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Theresa Gingras of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Armand and Laurent Maurier and two sisters, Lucille Lawrence and Dora Page.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock Sts., on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Burial followed in St Augustin Cemetery.
