Raymond D. Townson

He was born in Bronaugh, MO November 5, 1922 and was the son of Harley and Leona (Knaack) Townson. He lived in Bronaugh, MO most of his life and had been a resident of NH since 2003.

Mr. Townson served in the US Navy during World War II.

He worked for the US Postal Service and served as Postmaster in Bronaugh, MO until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an amateur radio buff.

Family members include his wife of 63 years, Frances (Wilkinson) Townson of Bedford, NH; his son, Denny R. Townson of Amherst, NH; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service, with military honors, was held Monday, September 21, 2009 at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH
