Rene E. Beaudin, 86, of Manchester, died at his home, Wednesday, September 3,2008. He was born in Manchester, July 24, 1922, and was the son of Louis and Alice(Doyon) Beaudin.

Rene was educated locally and entered the United States Navy in 1942 and served until he was honorably discharged in 1945.

He began working for the United States Postal service soon after his discharge from the Navy. He was a member of the postal workers union, local 230.

Rene was the former president of the living will society; an active member of the DE104 Destroyer Escort association; a member of the national association of retired federal employees chapter 408; a member of the William Jutras Post #43; and the AARP.

He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing. For many years Rene would look forward to the autumn so that he could make his special apple cider in his own cider mill.

IN HIS LIFE: Family members include, 3 sons Roger Beaudin, and his wife Janice, of Manchester, Robert Beaudin, and his wife Heidi, of Surry, Maurice Beaudin, and his wife Patricia, of River Falls, WI; 5 grandchildren, Kristine, Cheryl, Scott, Rick, John; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Armand Beaudin, of Goffstown.several nieces nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated, Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Parish of the Transfiguration Parish, Kelly St. Manchester.

Burial took place at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech St., Manchester.
