Born in Berlin on September 3, 1934, he was the son of Edward and Lillian (Montminy) Marchand. He lived in Springfield, MA many years before moving to Merrimack in 1972.
Mr. Marchand worked at Lyons Iron Works in Manchester and General Electric in Merrimack and Hooksett for many years.
The family includes his wife of 48 years, Lucille A. (Peters) Marchand of Merrimack; five children, Raymond Marchand of Manchester, Therese Wyman and Edward Marchand both of Merrimack, Monique Cronin of Manchester and Paul Marchand of Allenstown; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister, Yvonne Chartier of Agawam, MA; a step mother, Bella Marchand of Gorham; a step sister, Irene Powell of Barton, VT; a step brother, Norman Bellerose of Gorham; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Rd., Merrimack. A Mass of Christian Burial was also celebrated Friday, April 30, 2010 at Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St. Berlin. Burial was in St. Anne Cemetery, Berlin.
