He was born in Laconia, NH, April 26, 1926, and was a son of Emile and Yvonne (Martel) Marcotte. He was raised in Belmont and had been resident of Hooksett since 1953.
He served in the US Air Force from 1946 to 1949 as an airplane power plant mechanic. He did his basic training at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi and was later shipped to Guam where he served as crew chief of B29 Bomber aircraft.
From 1951 until his retiremnt in 1988 he worked as a heating & plumbing contractor.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Madeleine (Mailhot) Marcotte of Hooksett; four brothers, Roger Marcotte of Hooksett, Marcel Marcotte of Gilford, Richard Marcotte of Manchester, and Armand Marcotte of Derry; three sisters, Anita Plourde of Allenstown, Lorraine Valliere of Spring Hill, FL, and Jeanne Lacerte of London, Ontario; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Lionel Marcotte and Roland Marcotte, both of Laconia.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday September 5, 2007 at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave., Laconia, NH. Urn burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, was in charge of arrangements
