Renee C. Halle

August 8, 1953 — July 27, 2025

Manchester

Renee Cote Halle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend, passed away on July 27, 2025 surrounded by her family and siblings, after nearly a 5 year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 71 years old.

Born on August 8, 1953, in Manchester, NH, daughter of the late Emile Cote and Germain (Brunelle) Cote. She graduated from Trinity High School in 1971 and went on to earn her degree from Rivier College in Nashua in 1975.

Renee married the love of her life, Kenneth Halle, and together they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was built on love, laughter, and deep friendship and their journey together included extensive travel and, in later years, a cherished home on the coast of Maine, a gathering spot of their children and grandchildren.

Renee was a dedicated educator for over 25 years. She spent more than two decades teaching Kindergarten and 2nd grade at St. Anthony’s Elementary School and was instrumental in starting the Pre-K program. Her deep love for children and nurturing spirit helped guide and shape young minds. Later, she served as a Title 1 teacher at Beech Street School for five years.

Family was the heart of Renee’s world. She was a devoted mother to Amanda (Halle) Bates and husband Ryan Bates, Thomas Halle and wife Hannah (Duhaime) Halle, Laura (Halle) Ashburner and husband Benjamin Ashburner, and a proud, loving grandmother to Jackson Halle, Jordan Halle, Halle Bates, Ethan Ashburner, Charlie Bates, Julie Ashburner, and Brody Bates. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

Renee also held a deep and enduring bond with her siblings—Colette Cote, Michelle (Cote) and husband David Skrzysowski, Marie (Cote) and husband George Lemire, Guy Cote and partner Diane Syrek, brother-in-law Daniel Halle and partner Tom Ford. Their close relationship was a constant source of strength, laughter, and shared memories throughout her life.

A lifelong sports fan, Renee cheered faithfully for the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics. She kept herself healthy through walking daily, you could often find her out walking in the neighborhood or on the beaches of Maine.

Renee was a genuine soul, known for her kindness, boundless love, and quiet but unwavering strength. She faced her illness with remarkable courage, never losing her sense of humor, or positive spirit and she fought until the end. She inspired everyone around her with her resilience and love.

Renee Cote Halle will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished by those who had the honor of knowing and loving her.
