Richard C. Brousseau, 68, of Manchester, died October 7, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center after a period of declining health surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Manchester on February 3, 1949 to Andrew and Lucille (Allaire) Brousseau. He graduated from Central High School and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Marine Corps and received two Purple Hearts.
Richard retired from Keyspan Natural Gas Company where he worked for many years.
He was a member of the Order of Purple Hearts, past president of the NH Veterans Association, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed traveling and will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished time spent at his second home in Thonotosassa, FL. He also loved music, singing karaoke, and was an avid collector.
The family includes his wife of 28 years, Susan T. (Bissonnette) Brousseau of Manchester; two children, Jeffrey L. Brousseau and wife Deborah of Pensacola, FL, Denise M. Frazier and husband William of Allenstown; three grandchildren, Isabella Brousseau, Jackson and Pressley Frazier; one brother, Ronald Richards of TX; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Sacred Heart Church. Committal prayers with military burial honors followed at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
