Richard E. Chauvette, 81, of Manchester died March 25, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Born in Manchester on July 23, 1943, he was the son of Edmond and Lorette (Parent) Chauvette. After graduating from Bishop Bradley High School, he served in the US Navy.
Prior to retirement, he had worked as a letter carrier for the USPS for over 30 years.
Richard enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and bowling. His most cherished time was spent watching his beloved granddaughters grow up.
He was predeceased by his wife, Diane (Corriveau) Chauvette in 2018.
Family members include his son, Douglas Chauvette and his late wife, Gerri of Deerfield; Dawna Fraitzl and husband John of Bedford; granddaughters, Mackenzie, Madison and Morgan Fraitzl; his siblings, Pauline (Chauvette) Therrien, Robert Chauvette and wife Ellie, Lorraine Hicks, Raymond Chauvette and wife Penny, Louise Cloutier and husband Bob; several nephews and nieces. He was also predeceased by one brother, Donald Chauvette.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Monday, March 31st from 4 to 7 pm. The service will be in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, April 1st at 11 am.
