Richard A. Costello

Richard A. Costello, 56, of Bedford, died April 22nd, 2008 at the Catholic Medical Center after a sudden illness.

He was born in the Bronx, NY, on January 1st, 1952, the son of Walter and Millicent (Sheldon) Costello. He earned his bachelor's degree from Iona College.

He held the position of vice president of sales and marketing for Monadnock Paper Mills Inc.

Richard loved golf and was a member of both the Manchester Country Club and Bear Lakes in West Palm Beach, FL. An excellent basketball player, he had played for his college team as well as coached both his daughters' teams in Bedford. He was a great friend to many and always had a smile and wonderful sense of humor.

He leaves behind his wife Patty Costello of Bedford; two daughters, Katelyn and Courtney Costello, both of Bedford; two sisters, Carol DiBernardino of Hastings, NY, and Patricia Curtin of Rocky Point, NY; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday April 25, 2008 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH, 03101.
