Dick Lavigne (81), son of Lucien and Jeannette (Bellerose) Lavigne, died unexpectedly at his home on 6/25/26. He attended Manchester Central High School where he captained both the Varsity Football and Baseball teams and was known for driving his 1946 Ford pickup to school every day.
Upon graduation, in 1964, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Over the course of four years, he was stationed in both England and France. On his return, he worked at CarLand Autobody, a business started by his father, which he eventually ran with his brothers.
Dick was a very good friend to all. Incredibly handy and creative, he helped everyone with their home projects. He loved his huge family, and we all adored him. He will probably be best remembered for his very entertaining and usually inappropriate comments. We all loved that about him!
Dick was pre-deceased by his parents, and his sister, Lucille Tremblay.
He is survived by his daughter Kelly (Eric) Wykoff, his grandchildren: Brandon (Shannon), Garett (Julia), Ryan (Sarah), Darryl(Paige), Jordan (Cody), and Katie. His 10 great-grandchildren: Wes, Luca, Lani, Alina, Aiden, Aubrey, Jaleesia, Nevaeh, Diallow, and Waylon. And his siblings: Pauline (John) Repucci, Paul (Nancy) Lavigne, Ron (Cindy) Lavigne, Suzanne (Jean) Labonville, Doreen (Tom) Given, Mike (Marcia) Lavigne, and JoAnn (Kevin) Parziale. And very many nieces and nephews. Everyone should have an Uncle Dick!!!
Urn interment to be held at NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH on August 7 th at 11:00, to be followed by a celebration of life TBA. Memorial Donations may be made in Dick’s name to: Paralyzed Veterans of America, PVA.org.
