Born in Manchester on July 27, 1931, he was the son of George and Laura (Lemay) Morrissette. He served in the US Navy in 1950. He lived in Bedford many years.
Mr. Morrissette was the owner of Dick's Oil Burner Sales and Service in Manchester for many years. He was a member of United Commercial Travelers, the Alpine Club and the Raphael Club.
He was one of the founders of the Amoskeag Strummers and volunteered at New Horizons for New Hampshire. He sold and flew remote control helicopters and enjoyed biking, boating, fishing, camping and playing pool.
IN HIS LIFE: The family includes his wife of 58 years, Rita T. (Vaillancourt) Morrissette of Bedford; a son, Dennis F. Morrissette and his wife, Albertine, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Richard, Elizabeth and Erica Morrissette; a sister, Viola St. Jean of Manchester, and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, August 24, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
