Richard A. Perry, 66, of Bedford, died August 19, 2014 at Catholic Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Methuen, MA on March 6, 1948 to Raymond and Doris (Peacock) Perry. He grew up in Pequannock, NJ and lived in Lake Hopatcong, NJ and Bangor, PA many years before moving to Bedford 22 years ago. He attended Hesser College in Manchester.

During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Navy.

Richard worked at Hereaus Amersil and Kalwall Corporation both in Manchester for many years. He enjoyed fishing, classic cars and time spent with his grandchildren. He particularly loved his Mustang and his dog, Shadow.

He was predeceased by two siblings, Lee Perry and Janice Moebius.

The family includes his wife of 44 years, Judith G. (Dymond) Perry of Bedford; three daughters, Colleen A. Czekanski and her husband, Jeff, of Hooksett, Christine G. Plumpton and her husband, Matthew, of Candia and Cathleen J. LaPointe and her husband, Thomas, of Bethel, ME; eight grandchildren, Caitlyn, Joseph, Brandon, Jocelyn, Tommy, Nicholas, Mikayla and Meredith; his mother of New Jersey; eight siblings, Linda Perry, Margaret Perry, James Perry, Doreen Sprules, Marybeth Wyant, Jean Wallace and Thomas Perry all of New Jersey and Michele Bucek of New York; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral ceremony was held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
