Dick, as he was best known, was born March 12, 1945 in Cranston, RI to William and Beverly Sheidow. He attended Cranston High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor's Degree from Springfield College in MA where he majored in Political Science.
An Army veteran, he served overseas in Korea and was awarded campaign ribbons as well as the Good Conduct Medal. He raised his family in Hooksett, NH and worked for Amica in Manchester, NH for over 30 years. Dick had a passion for Disney, great music and traveling. He enjoyed sports, movies and spending time with family and close friends. Dick loved coaching his sons' soccer teams and attending his grandchildren's soccer games. He was also a longtime and proud stockholder of The Boston Beer Company, maker of Sam Adams. He had a very kind heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew him well.
Surviving Richard are his 3 sons, Jeffrey, his wife Ashli and their 2 children of Charleston, SC; Michael, his wife Chanta and their 2 children of Austin, TX; Matthew, his wife Meg and their 2 children of Hooksett, NH; brother, Bill Sheidow of Stockbridge, VT; and sister Ruth Thompson of Novato, CA.
Services will be private.
