Richard O. St. Hilaire, 93, of Manchester, died August 13, 2023 at his home after a period of declining health.
He was born in Berlin on November 21, 1929 to Roger and Amelda (Montminy) St. Hilaire. He lived in Rumford, ME for 13 years before moving to Manchester many years ago. He served in the U.S. Army.
Richard worked at Granite State Machine for 38 years. In retirement, he worked part-time at Cushcraft in Manchester for 10 years. He had also volunteered at Elliot Hospital.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working on projects around the house. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Lillian G. (Belaski) St. Hilaire in 1998 and two siblings, Collette Arsenault and Clement St. Hilaire.
Richard is survived by five children, Lorraine Cote and her husband, Larry, of Goffstown, Mary Jane Tousignant of Hooksett, Pauline Ux and her husband, Kenneth, of Litchfield, Richard R. St. Hilaire of Manchester and Nicole Richard and her husband, Steven, of Ohio; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Saturday (8/19) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed immediately at 12 p.m. by a funeral ceremony, all at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
