Riitta K. Nemon, 79, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on January 28, 2026. She was born in Helsinki, Finland on July 6, 1946, the daughter of Martti Odo Johannes and Annikki (Lehtovirta) Hartiala.

Riitta came to the United States in 1966, where she met her lifelong love Laurence A. Nemon and eventually settled in Londonderry, NH to raise their family. She was a library assistant in the Londonderry Public Schools and a homemaker, with many friends throughout the community.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Robert and his wife Marianne Nemon of Burlington, MA, and David and his wife Melissa Nemon of Londonderry, NH; 2 grandsons, Alexander and Brandon Nemon of Burlington, MA; 3 sisters, Mimmu Marja Annikki Hartiala and her husband James Sloan of Finland, Eeva Kaarina and her husband George Adams of Utah, and Anna-Leena Tuulikki Hartiala of Canada; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Juha Martti Antero Hartiala.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at the chapel in the Manchester Hebrew Cemetery at 1:30pm.

Memorial donations may be made in Riitta’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter, 320 Nevada Street, Newton, MA, 02460.
