Rita T. Belair

Rita T. (Sroka) Belair, 92, of Manchester died August 23, 2025 after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester on August 27, 1932, she was the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Lesniak) Sroka.

Prior to retirement, she had worked as a paraprofessional at Manchester Central High School and McDonough Elementary School.

After retirement she volunteered as an usher at the Palace Theater and the CMC gift shop.

As a young mother, she was a Girl Scout Leader. Rita enjoyed crafts, bowling and gardening.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Judy Belair.

Family members include her husband of 73 years, Robert N. Belair of Manchester; her children, Gail Cote and husband David of Manchester, Kim Belair of Manchester, Robert S. Belair of Manchester; her grandchildren, Juston Bennett and wife Christine, Scott Cote, Lindsey Mathews, and Matthew Therrien; two great-grandchildren, Maisie and Quinton.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, will be Thursday, August 28th from noon to 2 pm, followed by a service in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
