Sister Rita Bourassa, p.m., (Sr. Michel-Marie), 97, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary died December 9, 2020 at the Catholic Medical Center.
She was born on September 21, 1923, in Manchester, NH, the daughter of Emile and Delia (Michel) Bourassa.
Sister Rita made her Religious Profession on February 2, 1952.
She rendered community services in Berlin, Hudson, Manchester, Gorham and Keene, NH. She also served in Woonsocket, RI. She spent most of her life in food services and was an excellent cook. She retired at St. Joseph II in Manchester in 2018.
She was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Jeanne Lord.
She is mourned by her nieces, Nancy and Paul Sullivan, Lisa and Scott Ireland; a nephew, Gary Lord and her cousin, Pauline Boisvert.
Due to the current pandemic, a Mass of Christian burial will be held at a later date. Burial with a private committal service will be in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund, 495 Mammoth Road, Manchester, NH 03104.
