Born in Manchester on May 18, 1922, she was the daughter of Theodore and Rose (Fortin) Boisvert. She grew up in Manchester and was valedictorian of St. George High School in 1940.
She lived in Arlington, MA many years, then returned to Manchester 22 years ago before moving to Hudson, MA two months ago.
In her early years, she enjoyed skiing, hiking and canoeing. She later enjoyed cooking, reading, politics and current events.
The family includes her husband of 56 years, Nicholas V. Calandrella of Hudson, MA; five children, Leonard Calandrella of Norwich, VT, Marc Calandrella of Sudbury, MA, Nancy Calandrella of Hudson, MA, Linda Carey of Dracut, MA and Paul Calandrella of Lebanon, NH; 12 grandchildren and one great grandson; cousins, nieces and nephews.
IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by four brothers, Earl Boisvert, Gerald Boisvert, Alan Boisvert and Kenneth Boisvert. She and her husband helped raise two nieces, Tina Bellofatto of Manchester and Rita Piotrowski of Amherst. She will be remembered as a loving, devoted and tireless wife, mother and grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday May 31, 2007 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
