Rita D. Dinwoodie, 92, of Candia, died January 10, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Born in Manchester on October 17, 1930, she was the daughter of Theodore and Helen (Hloch) Groux.
Rita enjoyed spending time at the Sandy Beach Campground, quilting, playing cards and games with friends and family, and attending events with the Hooksett-ites.
She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished time spent with her family.
Her husband of 52 years, James N. Dinwoodie Jr predeceased her in 2008 and her brother, Richard Groux.
Family members include her children, Susan L. Tremblay and husband Denis G. of Candia, Linda A. Tremblay and her partner Jeffrey Cushman of Candia, Michael A. Dinwoodie of Hollis, David Dinwoodie and wife Linda of Goffstown; her grandchildren, Derek W. Tremblay and wife Erin B. (Sullivan) Tremblay, Jason M. Tremblay and partner Andrew French, Matthew A. Tremblay, M.D. and wife Brianna M. Tremblay, Joseph A. Tremblay, Nathan Dinwoodie, Kevin Dinwoodie, and Kyle Dinwoodie; great-grandchildren, James D. Tremblay, Bridget M. Tremblay, Logan Tremblay and Cameron Tremblay.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church, Hooksett. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in the spring.
Donations may be made in her memory to either the American Red Cross or the American Cancer Society.
