Rita Dutilly

She was born in Somersworth on December 6, 1920 to Hervey and Rosalie (Dolbec) Dutilly. She served in the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross for 69 years, entering in 1944 and making her final profession in 1951.

Sr. Rita earned a bachelor's degree in education from Notre Dame College in Manchester. She taught in parochial elementary schools in New Hampshire at Manchester, Nashua, Rochester, Somersworth and West Franklin and in Springfield, MA and St. Laurent, Quebec, Canada.

She also worked in health care as a Licensed Nursing Assistant at St. George Manor and Holy Cross Health Center for several years. She retired to St. George Manor in 2002.

The family includes a sister, Sr. Lucille Dutilly, CSC and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the chapel of St. George Manor. Burial was at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech Street, Manchester.
