Rita Fernande Lehoux, 93, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester.
Born on April 13, 1932 in Coaticook, Quebec, she was one of fifteen children of the late Alphonse and Clara (Bouffard) Isabelle.
In her earlier years, Rita worked in the mills and later worked at St. Peter’s Home until her retirement. She was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Manchester and enjoyed cleaning, cooking and sewing. She went on many vacations to Hollywood, Florida and trips back home to Canada to visit family and friends. Rita also enjoyed playing bingo with her late husband, listening to music and dancing.
Rita is survived by her two daughters: Helene Bouchard and her husband Jean-Yves, Nicole Laprise and her husband Marc all of Manchester; her four grandchildren: Vickie Gould and her husband Bill of Chester, Brian Bouchard and his predeceased wife, Christine, of New Boston, Amanda Woods and her husband David of York, ME, Ryan Laprise of Renton, WA; her five great-grandchildren: Gillian, Brison, Josie, Cooper, Isabelle; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rita is predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years: Lionel P. Lehoux; and her fourteen siblings: Claire, Albertine, Aurore, Lucienne, Jeannette, Rose, Therese, Armand, Oscar, Yvonne, Arthur, Blanche, Roger, Pauline.
SERVICES: Calling hours are on Saturday (8/ 9) from 10am – 11:30am at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St. in Manchester. A funeral service will begin in the funeral home chapel at 11:30am. A committal service will immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
