Rita T. Morrissette

Rita T. Morrissette, 91, of Manchester, died July 4, 2024, at Hanover Hill Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester on February 4, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Beatrice (Shiney) St. Laurent. She was educated in Manchester and attended Central High School. Rita worked for Service Merchandise, the Manchester Court House and for Amoskeag Bank as a Claims Collector before retiring in 1990.

Rita enjoyed boating and camping and time spent wintering in Florida. She was a very sweet person and a loving and caring mother. Those she loved will deeply miss her.

Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years, Raymond L. Morrissette, in 2000.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Madeleine Doyon and husband Arthur of Londonderry; two sons, Donald Morrissette of Manchester and Paul Morrissette and wife Linda of Bedford; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Jeanne Chandonnet and husband Robert of Laconia; and her dog Ginger. She was also predeceased by one daughter, Diane Beaulieu in 2014; both parents; and one brother, Sid St. Laurent.

SERVICES: Calling hours are from 10am to 12pm, on Thursday, with a Memorial Service beginning promptly at 12pm in Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104. Burial will be private to family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Breast Cancer Awareness/American Cancer Society of NH, 2 Commerce Dr., Ste. 210, Bedford, NH 03110.
