Robert A. Belanger, 70, of Manchester, passed away August 13, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on May 1, 1951, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Marcelle A. (Lemarier) Belanger. He was a graduate of Memorial High School, class of 1970 and a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He worked for Shaw's Supermarket as a receiver and stocker for over 30 years.
Bob was a 50 year, 3rd degree member, of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5260. He was also the bingo chairman, better known as "Bingo Bob" and a member of the donations committee for the Knights as well. He was an avid Red Sox fan and loved the Three Stooges. Bob was an unfiltered, yet loving man. A "grouchy but lovable teddy bear". He had a strong love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Family members include his wife of 47 years, Kathleen E. (Grady) Belanger of Manchester; two children, Christopher R. Belanger and significant other, Jessica Laro of Manchester, and Tara D. Bissonnette and husband Paul of Manchester; four grandchildren, Jacob Belanger and fiancé Ashley Partridge of Manchester, Jocelyn Belanger and significant other "Pecce" of Manchester, Meghan Bissonnette and Caiden Bissonnette, also of Manchester; one brother, Joseph Belanger and wife Beverly of Allenstown; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both parents; and one brother, Richard Belanger.
SERVICES: Calling hours are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 225 Hemlock St., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Manchester VNA Home Health & Hospice, 1070 Holt St., Ste. 1400, Manchester, NH 03109.
